In October 2016, my colleague Joe Favorito asked me to assist in creating a Philadelphia media tour on behalf of Christie's, promoting their Historic Baseball Artifacts auction that fall.  I booked Christie's consultant Simeon Lipman (also featured on "Antiques Roadshow") on SiriusXM Channel 111, KYW Newsradio, and Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia.  I also coordinated interviews for Simeon Lipman with BillyPenn.com, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Tribune

 

 

 

I produced a "Rugby 101" demo featuring the Army and Navy men's college Rugby 7s squads at the Battleship New Jersey, in advance of the 2016 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship.  The morning included media opportunities for the coaches and players, as well as a live on-site three-hour radio broadcast by Dom Giordano on Philadelphia's 1210 WPHT-AM.  NBC 10 News covered the event for their newscast, with highlights available here: http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Rugby-7_s-Players-Practice-on-Battleship_Philadelphia-379880721.html.

 

 

 

 

My Public Relations activities in support of the 2016 Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con at the Pennsylvania Convention Center included booking live in-studio radio appearances by celebrity guests like "Back to the Future" movie writer/co-creator Bob Gale (pictured at left with 1210 WPHT-AM host Chris Stigall), as well as a number of local television and newspaper interviews and stories.

Members of the Temple University women's Rugby 7s team appeared with former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell on Sports Radio 94 WIP's Angelo Cataldi Show in late May 2016 to promote the 2016 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship.

 

Philadelphia Flyers legend Reggie Leach published his autobiographical memoir "The Riverton Rifle" in the fall of 2015.  His publisher, the Canadian house Greystone Books, contacted my colleague Joe Favorito to find someone in the Philadelphia media market who could coordinate a Philly-centric media tour in early December 2015.  I was pleased to book Reggie Leach on a number of local radio and television shows, and assist him at three area book signings and personal appearances.  This is a photo of Reggie Leach's appearance to promote the book on the TV home of the Philadelphia Flyers, Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia.

 

 

I've had the great pleasure to work with ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen since June 2008, on a variety of projects and initatives.  Here's a 2012 interview for The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

 

In the summer of 2012, in my second year working with the late, lamented Philadelphia Classic Regatta Series, I  worked with Brad Nau at BN Productions to coordinate a feature story on Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia (and also on The Comcast Network) about rowing on the Schuylkill River.  The feature, "Drawn to Water," appears below.

 

 

In January 2012, I began working with  Rich Masterson, Jordan Lieberman, Jeff Dittus and  others on their team at CampaignGrid to broaden their earned media coverage during the 2012 election cycle.   During that engagement, which continued until mid-May, I was on-site several days per week and worked to gain them national media coverage.   I also assisted the company with the planning and execution of a few trade show marketing opportunities. On Friday, February 17th, CampaignGrid was featured in two articles -- an overview of the 2012 Presidential election campaign in The Guardian, and an overview of "hyperlocal" campaign advertising in Street Fight. On Monday, February 20th, the New York Times featured CampaignGrid in an article about online data helping campaigns. CampaignGrid was also mentioned in Adweek's January 11th issue.   In addition, I worked on re-purposing existing video tape to create the first CampaignGrid video explaining how the company works, for use on their website and in promotional materials online and in trade shows.   In March 2017, Rich Masterson and colleagues sold their company to Altice USA.
